Glycerin: A natural moisturizer that’s also in our skin. A super common, safe, effective and cheap molecule used for more than 50 years. Not only a simple moisturizer but it is known to keep the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state, protects against irritation, helps to restore barrier.
Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide Mea: also called Pseudo-Ceramide, it's a molecule created in a lab to mimic the properties of natural skin-barrier building ceramides. It is claimed to be as effective as ceramide 3 at moisturizing the skin and helping the barrier function.
Cholesterol: It's one of the important lipids that can be found naturally in the outer layer of the skin. About 25% of the goopy stuff between our skin cells consists of cholesterol.
